The Crash Course in Nails is an immersive, 3-month, hands-on program designed to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills in nail care, nail art, and manicure/pedicure techniques. Whether you're interested in starting a career in the nail industry, or simply want to improve your personal nail care routine, this fast-paced course offers a solid foundation in essential nail techniques.

Course Overview:

In this 12-week crash course, students will learn the basics of nail care, including proper hygiene, nail anatomy, nail painting techniques, and nail art. The course is designed to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, ensuring students gain the confidence to work with a variety of nail techniques and treatments. The program is ideal for beginners looking to pursue a career in the beauty industry or those who simply want to learn how to achieve professional-looking nails.

Key Areas of Study:

Nail Care Fundamentals:

• Understanding nail anatomy and common nail disorders
• Essential nail care routines (cutting, filing, buffing, and moisturizing)
• Proper hygiene and sanitation practices for tools and products
• Techniques for promoting healthy nails and preventing damage

Manicure and Pedicure Techniques:

• Basic manicure and pedicure steps: soaking, exfoliating, cutting, and shaping nails
• Hand and foot massage techniques for relaxation and skin care
• Nail polish application techniques: tips for smooth, streak-free polish application
• Removal of nail polish and treatments for natural nails

Nail Art Basics:

Course Duration

• Duration: 12 weeks (3 Terms)
• Practical Workshops: Weekly hands-on sessions for practicing manicure/pedicure techniques, nail art designs, and polish application
• Final Project: At the end of the course, students will complete a final project demonstrating their skills with a full manicure/pedicure and creative nail art design

Theory Knowledge:

• Students will create a portfolio to showcase their completed work, including before-and-after photos of manicures/pedicures and nail art designs.
• This portfolio will demonstrate progress, creativity, and technical skills throughout the course.

Final Nail Design Presentation:

• Students will present a final design, including a full manicure/pedicure, demonstrating their knowledge and creative skills learned throughout the course.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the Crash Course in Nails, students will receive a Certificate of Attendance acknowledging their participation and the foundational skills they have gained in nail care, manicure/pedicure techniques, and nail art. This certificate provides students with the foundational knowledge necessary to start a career in the nail industry or improve their personal nail care routines.
